About the role

The People Services Representative provides tier I administrative support to the People Business Operations, Benefits, and Payroll teams across North America. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees, responding to inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and Manager Self-Service (MSS) and Employee Self-Service (ESS) systems. Key responsibilities include assisting team members and managers with inquiries about HR, payroll, benefits, and leave, while ensuring accurate and timely information and data entry into our HR systems. This position plays a critical role in supporting a seamless and positive experience for our people.

Work Environment & Travel Requirements

This is a hybrid role based out of the Home Office in Jackson, MI, requiring on-site presence at least 3 days per week with the ability to flex based on business needs. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Jackson, MI to be considered. Up to 10% of travel may be required as needed. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to team members with HR, payroll, and leave software, including navigating and resolving issues related to timekeeping, payroll processing, and leave management
  • Help managers utilize manager self-service for tasks such as approving time off requests, managing team member records, and processing performance reviews
  • Address broad questions and provide assistance related to Manager Self Service (MSS) and Employee Self Service (ESS) systems
  • Handle team members' leave administration tasks involving coordination with a third-party vendor to track leaves and enter data changes into the HR system
  • Support onboarding, compensation, benefits, and leave management
  • Work with benefit vendors to address issues and update team members on benefits changes
  • Assist with employment-related inquiries and resolve complex or sensitive issues
  • Maintain accurate team member records and manage leave of absence tracking
  • Ensure adherence to country-specific, federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Support HR policy update initiatives
  • Uphold and promote the “Dawn Values” and support organizational excellence
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; pursuit of higher education preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Familiarity or previous experience supporting Human Resources, payroll, benefits administration, or related functions preferred
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems, navigate multiple applications, and efficiently research and retrieve information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.) and HR systems (ADP, SuccessFactors, etc.) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide effective support to Team Members, Managers, and People Business Partners at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion and professionalism
  • Capability to follow direction and work closely with teammates in a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, follow established processes and leadership direction, and provide administrative and operational support across HR-related programs and systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills are a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • The normal setting for this job is an office environment and/or work-from-home office
  • Regular use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone is required
  • Must be able to read and analyze data on computer screens and reports for extended periods
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required during normal work activities
  • Ability to lift or move office materials and equipment up to 10–15 pounds may be required occasionally
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, including computers, printers, and other standard office devices, is required

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $50,470-$75,710 with bonus eligibility.
