HR Representative

About the role
As a member of the Global Human Resources Functional Team, the HR Representative supports a specific location and client group(s) to advance ASR Group’s people and organization agenda. This role requires high energy, professionalism, and execution discipline to deliver results through both formal and informal influence, closely partnering with HR and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition
- Partner with stakeholders to execute demand-planning activities for hiring and capability needs.
- Recruit and hire candidates within targeted cycle-time expectations.
- Coordinate key hiring process elements, including recruitment, phone screens, interviews, background checks, and medical physicals.
- Support college recruitment efforts as part of the ASR Group HR Team.
- Manage regulatory requirements for tracking applicant data.
- Talent Management
- Support talent management activities, including talent reviews, succession planning, intern programs, job rotation, high-potential programs, and career development.
- Conduct new-hire induction to ensure positive employee assimilation.
- Employee Engagement
- Lead and participate in local communication and engagement plans to foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Proactively address employee issues and concerns; resolve grievances collaboratively.
- Partner with union leadership to resolve employee concerns and grievances.
- Administer HR policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements consistently.
- Provide constructive counsel to employees and supervisors.
- Drive employee recognition programs to support morale.
- Maintain a visible presence with client groups by walking the floor a minimum of one hour per day.
- HRIS & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, company policy, and procedural requirements for HR processes.
- Provide education and support to employees regarding benefits.
- Maintain HRIS and e-service systems by entering employee changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.).
- Update employee files for payroll, benefit carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Support salary-planning processes.
- Manage personnel files and HR-related administrative matters confidentially.
- Learning & Development
- Analyze, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs to build organizational capability.
- Manage learning and development data through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support individual development needs and plans.
- Other
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes.
- Coordinate special projects and events as needed.
- Participate in community affairs activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional Human Resources experience in a Specialist or Generalist role; a combination of both is preferred.
- Experience managing an HRIS database.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Strong communication skills with a professional presence.
- Experience supporting an industrial/manufacturing or distribution/logistics business is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; HR or related discipline preferred.
- Advanced degree desired but not required.
Pay
$70,000–$99,000 per year
