About the role

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our HR Services team. This role is ideal for someone with some HR experience who is eager to grow their knowledge and gain exposure to all aspects of human resources, benefits, and payroll across multiple clients and states. As an HR Generalist, you may own specific client relationships or work as part of a larger team, receiving mentorship from experienced HR Consultants. This role offers immeasurable experience in handling everyday HR tasks while supporting client success and member-level customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Own specific client relationships and manage day-to-day outsourced HR operations for clients.
  • Collaborate with HR consultants, Benefits Specialists, and Payroll Specialists to manage client workload.
  • Serve as the direct contact for client employees and leadership teams for all HR, benefits, and payroll matters.
  • Research, communicate, and resolve human resource issues and concerns.
  • Conduct status meetings with clients to ensure their needs are met according to service scope and commitments.
  • Update, create, and develop HRIS changes for client-specific needs.
  • Audit payroll and monthly benefit reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing and producing professional materials for training presentations.
  • Complete and/or assist with compliance reports such as EEO-1 and VETS-4212.
  • Exhibit client-focused behavior and apply knowledge to support client needs.
  • Answer calls, research, and process client requests while documenting actions appropriately.
  • Provide support on HR consulting projects, including handbooks, policy creation, and HR due diligence.
  • Ensure all internal controls and procedures are followed.
  • Input data into appropriate software for vendors, carriers, and clients within required timeframes.
  • Operate all department equipment and software applications effectively.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated HR experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite software tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Communications, or Business.
  • 1-3 years of relevant HR work experience.
  • Benefits and/or Payroll experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative work style.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and analyze situations from multiple perspectives.
  • Persuasive communication using details and facts.
  • Experience working with different HRIS, including managing the implementation of new systems.
