Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain employee records and payroll data within the HRIS system.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and partner with employees and leadership on payroll-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Lead recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions across the manufacturing site.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Manage the full hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Develop initiatives to attract and retain top talent in a competitive labor market.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on workplace matters.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues.
- Coach managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
- Foster a positive culture focused on accountability, communication, and engagement.
- Administer employee benefit programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related questions.
- Career coordination open enrollment activities and assist employees with benefit elections and changes.
- Partner with benefit providers and brokers to ensure effective program administration.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Stay current on changing employment regulations and recommend policy updates as needed.
- Lead performance review processes and support leadership in employee development planning.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives that promote retention and a strong workplace culture.
- Support training and development efforts across the organization.
- Analyze workforce trends and recommend strategies to improve employee satisfaction and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Prior HR experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll administration and employment law.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, or similar systems.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience supporting a multi-shift manufacturing workforce.
- Experience implementing employee engagement or retention initiatives.
