HR Ops Manager

Bloom Bridge Advisors is a fast-growing fractional HR and recruiting consulting firm working with startups in consumer goods and SaaS, including health tech, e-commerce, apparel, beverage, and beauty brands and more.

About the role

We are seeking an HR Operations Manager to own the day-to-day execution of People Operations across multiple fast-growing companies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ownership, process, and accountability, and who is comfortable operating independently without junior support. You will be the backbone of HR execution. Payroll, benefits, compliance, HR systems, onboarding, off-boarding, and operational follow-through will sit squarely with you. You will partner closely with a senior Fractional Head of People, but you will fully own how work gets done.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll execution and oversight
• Benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and ongoing changes
• Leave management including FMLA, state leaves, and related compliance
• Workers’ compensation coordination and compliance tracking
• HR compliance administration across multiple states
• Policy updates and employee documentation
• Ownership of HRIS systems and data integrity
• System updates, workflows, and permissions
• Maintaining clean, scalable HR processes and checklists
• Documentation of recurring processes and workflows
• Managing employee records and audits
• End-to-end onboarding execution for new hires
• Benefits enrollment and payroll setup
• Coordinating equipment, access, and documentation
• Off-boarding execution including final payroll, benefits termination, and documentation
• Scheduling and logistics for offsites and people programs
• Admin support for performance review cycles
• Execution of recognition programs and internal awards
• Recruiting coordination and ATS hygiene in partnership with recruiters
• Serve as the operational counterpart to the Fractional Head of People
• Flag risks, inefficiencies, and gaps before they become problems
• Ensure nothing drops when priorities shift

Requirements

• 4+ years of HR or People Operations experience
• Direct ownership of payroll and benefits administration
• Hands-on experience managing leave programs and compliance
• Strong HRIS experience with the ability to troubleshoot independently
• Experience supporting multiple teams, departments, or clients simultaneously
• High attention to detail and comfort owning work without supervision
• Experience in Start Ups (less than 50 people)
