About the role

The HR Operations Specialist administers payroll, benefits, compensation and HR compliance for the company. This role also provides people data reporting and analysis as needed for government agency filings, EEO review, benefits administration, and compensation administration. This position serves as the systems administrator for people platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll administration for all team members, interact with payroll vendor and company Accounting team, provide needed reporting and analysis as required
  • Administer employee benefits including open enrollment, benefits reporting & analysis, benefit vendor invoice management review & approval, and supporting the Director and People Team in benefits vendor interactions and company-wide communications
  • Maintain and manage as a sysadmin the HRIS and other people systems/platforms (performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR's SharePoint presence & content)
  • Perform compensation administration for all roles, including pay banding, incentive plan design and maintenance, pay equity analysis, and comp systems administration
  • Prepare, provide, and perform HR state and government filings (EEO-1, state filings, benefits filings, etc.) and ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with leaves management processes as needed
  • Provide support with ATS administration and other recruiting systems
  • Collaborate with the Director of People, Development, & Culture on HR initiatives and projects
  • Ensure HR data integrity and confidentiality in all processes
  • Complete all necessary continued learning and training requirements per department and company
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR operations or similar role performing payroll and benefits administration
  • Strong, substantive HRIS experience as a sysadmin or super user
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and best practices
  • Extremely detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing sensitive team member information
  • Formidable Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset and systems orientation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience creating, documenting, and supporting people processes in a maturing/evolving business environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
