About the role

Provides effective consulting, advice, and coaching by performing Human Resources Operations-related duties at the professional level. This role supports and leads multiple responsibilities in functional areas such as benefits, leave administration, ADA accommodations, workers compensation, HRIS management, HR ticket system management, employee file maintenance, HR policy development, employee communications, job description development, compensation analysis, employee surveys, recognition programs, performance management, and vendor liaison.

Serves as a primary departmental liaison to payroll partners and collaborates with other HR team members to provide departmental coverage and support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Partners with employees and leaders to facilitate leave of absence, ADA accommodation, and workers compensation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Supports administration of the company’s benefits plans in conjunction with the Sr. Director of HR and internal payroll partners.
  • Manages the HR ticketing system, assigning tickets, monitoring SLAs, and identifying trends to proactively address issues.
  • Facilitates and/or provides human resources-related training, including onboarding, to leadership and the workforce.
  • Facilitates employee recognition and engagement programs, as well as employee surveys.
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of all employee records required by law, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Assists in ongoing compensation analysis and wage reviews.
  • Prepares HR documentation needed for internal and external audits.
  • Supports reorganizations, reclassifications, and job description reviews.
  • Completes various projects (e.g., staffing and turnover trends, benefit analysis) by clarifying objectives, setting timelines, conducting research, and organizing information.
  • Maintains and leverages HRIS system features for HR transaction events such as onboarding, offboarding, leaves, transfers, promotions, benefits enrollment, or performance reviews.
  • Provides advice and suggestions to facilitate change and help define organizational culture.
  • Champions a culture of compassionate care and inclusion.
  • Partners with management and staff to resolve conflicts, support positive employee relations, maintain a productive work environment, build morale, and reduce unwanted turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or high school diploma and 5+ years of proven experience in HR as a People Partner, HR Manager, HRBP, or similar role (required).
  • S/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP certification and commitment to maintaining active certification.
