About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee recruitment, manpower planning, employee relations, HR operations, legal compliance, performance management, training & development, and compensation & benefits in a 100% export-oriented knit composite factory based in Bangladesh.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual and monthly manpower plans in coordination with production and department heads.
- Ensure timely recruitment of staff and workers to meet production requirements.
- Conduct interviews, selection, onboarding, and induction programs.
- Maintain manpower budget and optimize workforce utilization.
- Monitor absenteeism, turnover, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain harmonious employer-employee relationships.
- Resolve grievances and disciplinary matters professionally.
- Handle worker complaints and labor disputes.
- Coordinate with Worker Participation Committee (WPC), Safety Committee, and other statutory committees.
- Prevent and resolve industrial unrest through proactive engagement.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS/ERP accurately.
- Ensure proper documentation of appointments, confirmations, transfers, promotions, resignations, and terminations.
- Supervise attendance, leave management, overtime records, and shift scheduling.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with Finance and Accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act & Labour Rules, Buyer Code of Conduct, and Social Compliance Standards (BSCI, Sedex, WRAP, FWF, BWB, Walmart, Primark, etc.).
- Adhere to Fire, Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements and Department of Inspection for Factories & Establishments (DIFE) requirements.
- Maintain all statutory registers and legal documentation.
- Implement KPI and performance appraisal systems.
- Support department heads in employee performance reviews.
- Recommend promotions, increments, and succession planning.
- Monitor employee productivity and attendance trends.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and prepare annual training calendar.
- Arrange orientation and mandatory compliance training.
- Organize leadership development for supervisors and executives.
- Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Coordinate salary reviews and increment processes.
- Monitor attendance incentives, bonuses, and statutory benefits.
- Ensure timely settlement of final dues.
- Support payroll accuracy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in HR management.
- Proficiency in HR management, HR compliance, human resources management, HR policies and procedures, HR policy implementation, and human resource planning.
