About the role

The Human Resources Manager will join our Quanex Custom Mixing team in Cambridge, OH, serving as a trusted and confidential advisor to both management and employees. This role manages the delivery of Human Resources support in areas including employee relations, performance management, training, talent management, legal compliance, and organizational development.

Responsibilities

  • Closely partner with organizational leadership on a broad range of HR services, providing coaching and consultation that contributes to client strategy and business goals
  • Leverage HR and business skills to challenge or influence leadership in decision-making processes and act as a change agent to maximize people performance
  • Provide input on new and revised policies, programs, and procedures for employees, offering advice and recommendations to business unit management
  • Resolve complex and broad employee relations problems or issues
  • Oversee execution of human resources policies, programs, and implementation for all responsible locations
  • Ensure employee information such as personnel records and HRIS are up to date and accurate
  • Manage the leave of absence process to ensure employees progress with the goal of returning to work as planned
  • Facilitate employee investigations
  • Develop and set employee communication strategy
  • Ensure consistent, timely, and accurate application and compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or a related field (Master’s degree and/or HR certification preferred)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing organizations
  • Multi-site experience
  • Expertise in employment law, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership development, succession planning, change management, culture assessment, employee/labor relations, and workers' compensation
  • Experience working within fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environments

Pay

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus potential.
