About the role
We are seeking a Senior Web UI Developer / Front-End Engineer to join our team building MONITORED AI, a Geospatial + IoT sensory Data Fusion & Analytics platform. MONITORED AI combines large volumes of geospatial data with in-situ sensor data, providing users with a holistic dashboard overview of monitored assets, environments, and operational areas. The platform supports use cases such as smart agriculture, sustainable mining, maritime monitoring, and environmental monitoring by integrating Earth observation data, sensor data, and AI-based analytics.
The Web UI is a critical component of MONITORED AI, enabling users to interact with complex geospatial and sensor-based datasets, inspect AI-generated results, explore dashboards, analyze events and anomalies, and visualize data through high-performance charts, maps, and interactive interfaces. We are looking for a senior professional who can design and implement advanced, high-performance web interfaces for complex technical and analytical applications.
Responsibilities
- Development of advanced Web UI components for MONITORED AI
- Building high-performance dashboards, charts, maps, and interactive analytical views
- Visualization of geospatial data, IoT sensor data, AI outputs, monitoring results, events, and anomalies
- Integration of React-based interfaces with WebGL and backend APIs
- Improving usability, performance, and responsiveness of the platform
- Supporting the development of new visualization capabilities for 2D, 3D, and multidimensional datasets
- Working closely with backend, AI, data engineering, and product teams
Requirements
Programming and Front-End Engineering
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript development experience
- Strong understanding of ES2017+ JavaScript features
- Ability to write performant, scalable, and maintainable code
- Strong understanding of asynchronous event flow and asynchronous programming
- Understanding of algorithmic complexity and Big-O notation
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Understanding of common software engineering and programming patterns
- Ability to design clean and reusable front-end architecture
- Experience building low-latency, interactive user interfaces
Web Front-End
- Advanced HTML / CSS experience
- SCSS experience
- Experience building complex single-page applications
- Experience with performance optimization in browser-based applications
- Experience developing interfaces for data-heavy, analytical, geospatial, or monitoring systems
- Understanding of browser rendering, DOM performance, and responsive layouts
React
- Strong React.js experience
- Experience writing custom hook-based components
- Strong understanding of React component lifecycle
- Experience with shared state management, including Redux, Immutable.js, Context API, or similar approaches
- Ability to combine declarative React patterns with imperative DOM, SVG, canvas, or WebGL-based rendering when needed
- Experience integrating React with advanced visualization libraries and custom rendering layers
Data Visualization
- Strong D3.js experience
- Experience building custom advanced charts
- Experience with SVG-based interactive charts
- Experience integrating React and D3
- Ability to design visualizations for complex datasets, sensor measurements, time-series data, geospatial analytics, AI outputs, and monitoring results
WebGL / Graphics
- WebGL experience
- Understanding of linear algebra and computer graphics fundamentals
- Experience with raw WebGL programming
- Experience integrating React and WebGL
- Ability to build interactive, high-performance visual components for large datasets
- Experience with WebGL/SVG hybrid visualization is an advantage
