HR Manager
About the role
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including daily operations of the HR department, employee relations, compliance, benefits, company policies, performance management, and training and development. This position handles confidential and time-sensitive material and requires familiarity with HR and legal concepts, practices, and procedures. The role supports all Precision Build Companies and entities, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborating with all departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workflow of the human resources department.
- Plan, organize, and control HR department activities, developing and administering HR plans and procedures.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other offerings to attract and retain talent.
- Maintain all personnel files.
- Assist with organization development and coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and other required training.
- Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex, sensitive HR issues, including reasonable accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including job description development, interviewing, and hiring; collaborate with departmental managers to identify required skills and competencies.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives for internal employee growth.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies to ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in talent management and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of HR experience, with a background as an HR Coordinator or Generalist.
- Broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development.
- Familiarity with human resources practices, policies, and regulations.
- Intermediate computer and software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with HRIS systems, including payroll.

Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position. Travel is required to build relationships with teams and external stakeholders.
