HR Generalist - Sarasota

About the role

CoolToday is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our team of creative and energetic employees dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our HR Generalist handles a variety of HR functions, including administrative responsibilities in a fun and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Human Resources Department.
• Gathers and processes pre-hire paperwork, background checks, and MVR checks.
• Conducts New Hire Orientations, processes all onboarding paperwork, and reviews company policies and benefits information.
• Works with managers on disciplinary, attendance, and performance issues to ensure compliance with Company policies and practices.
• Participates in benefits administration and enrollment for new employees and during Benefits Open Enrollment.
• Submits, follows up, and monitors Workers’ Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability insurance claims.
• Supports and coordinates company-wide recognition programs, team-building activities, and company-sponsored sports events.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Basic knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and regulations.
• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation insurance.
• High initiative, integrity, strong work ethic, and good communication skills.
• Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Solid organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience with payroll-related compliance and reporting.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with UKG Pro is a plus but not required.
