About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist (People Operations) to support day-to-day human resources operations across a multi-state workforce. This position combines employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, policy implementation, compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, supporting employees, and helping build scalable HR programs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries.
  • Provide guidance on workplace policies, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Prepare and maintain performance improvement plans, coaching documentation, and corrective action records.
  • Support conflict resolution and assist with employee investigations when appropriate.
  • Cook up the full onboarding process, including new hire preparation, orientation, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information.
  • Aid in leave administration, benefits coordination, accommodations, and HR support for remote and on-site employees.
  • Serve as a backup resource for payroll and HRIS processes, ensuring data accuracy and continuity.
  • Assist with HR policy development, standard operating procedures, and continuous process improvements.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles and assist managers with performance documentation.
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Serve as a backup resource for audits, employment verifications, HR reporting, and other administrative initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience handling employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and multi-state compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience supporting a growing or multi-location workforce is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
