HR Generalist
About the role
The opportunity involves serving as the primary HR resource for retail and warehouse operations in Hamilton. You will serve as the frontline HR partner for hourly employees, guiding employee relations, resolving workplace concerns, driving corrective actions, coaching for performance success, supporting onboarding, and helping create a safe, productive, and inclusive workplace. You will coach and empower managers to enhance team performance, boost engagement, foster morale, and recognize achievements. You will implement HR policies and ensure compliance, maintain alignment with employment laws and labor practices, collaborate with the Talent Partner to support employee development, identify, create, and deliver impactful learning interventions, and plan for succession. You will partner with retail stores and the distribution center to deliver the HR agenda and support the business to deliver results.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- HR expertise – a solid foundation in U.S. employment law, policies, and compliance, applied in real-world situations.
- Proven experience in employee relations – you tackle complex issues head-on and guide managers with confidence.
- Performance management skills that drive results – coaching, feedback, and improvement plans delivered with impact.
- Clear, confident communication and sound judgment – always practical, pragmatic, and always people-first.
- Hightly organized, proactive, and tenacious, able to navigate challenges and build credibility at every level of the organization.

- Excellent knowledge of Google-suite, remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom etc.), HRIS, ATS applications, Benefits portals applications, and a quick learner with new systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant HR experience.
- Experience in employee relations and performance management.
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and labor practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues and coach managers.
- Experience with HRIS, ATS applications, and benefits portal applications.
