About the Role
The HR Generalist responds to employee relations matters and counsels managers on employment law, performance management, and best practices for effective employee relations. The incumbent supports ~200 employees in a multi-state environment while mitigating risk and aligning with various business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Consultation
- Proactively partners with leaders to address high volumes of complex performance and conduct issues, providing guidance to minimize risk and protect the business.
- Counsels on how to provide constructive feedback, write effective disciplinary actions, and provide clearly written objectives and performance evaluations.
- Partners with the National Service Center representatives on internal investigations as well as complex personnel issues.
- Supports the National Service Center representatives on internal investigations as well as complex personnel issues.
- Remains current in applicable state and federal employment laws.

- Complaint Resolution
- Investigates employee complaints of policy violations recommending resolutions to key stakeholders.
- Handles issues with diplomacy and tact demonstrating patience, care for the individuals involved, and creative problem solving.
- Process Management
- Lead and oversee core HR processes, including employee onboarding/offboarding, engagement initiatives, retention and turnover analysis, and the annual performance management cycle.
- Administers and monitors compliance-related programs.
- Ensures consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization and maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Ensures adherence to National Service Center (NSC) standards to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
- HR Operations Support
- Data Management & Integrity: Maintains accurate employee records & input personnel changes within the HRIS (OracleHCM).
- Reporting & Analytics: Pulls and distributes standard and ad-hoc reports to provide data for trend analysis & to drive business decisions.
- Employee Communication: Drafts and emails company-wide announcements, policy updates, and deadline reminders to staff.
Qualifications
- Basic Minimum Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required. HR certification preferred.
- Basic Minimum Work Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in human resources with exposure to a wide range, severity, and risk of employee relations issues. Deep employee relations or employment law coursework preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with solving complex problems; strong influencing skills, mediation, and dispute resolution skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

- Language Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships and influence hiring decisions.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills. Experience in working with customer relationship management solutions. Experience with Oracle HCM as an HRIS tool.

Position is full-time, fully remote, working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed.
