Position Summary

The HR Director – Regional Operations will support new hire and onboarding processes, assist with employee relations matters, and lead HR projects that strengthen consistency, service, compliance, and scalability. As Evans’ regional footprint grows, this role will provide hands-on HR operational leadership to regional leaders while ensuring alignment with Evans’ HR policies, procedures, culture, and business priorities. This is an in-office position based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR Team to review, monitor, and complete new hire and onboarding activities, including offer coordination, onboarding readiness, new hire documentation follow-up, first-day orientation and onboarding, and employee transition support.

  • Identify onboarding process gaps and recommend practical improvements to increase consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and manager accountability.

  • Assist with HR projects tied to growth, process improvement, employee experience, and HR department scalability.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on routine and complex employee relations matters, escalating sensitive or high-risk matters as appropriate.

  • Assist with employee concerns, performance documentation, corrective action support, workplace conduct matters, and employee communications in partnership with HR leadership.

  • Coach managers on consistent application of HR policies, expectations, documentation standards, and employee communication best practices.

  • Build trusted working relationships with regional operations leaders to understand business needs, workforce trends, employee concerns, and staffing support requirements.

  • Partner with talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits/compliance, training and development, and HR leadership to ensure regional HR needs are addressed consistently and efficiently.

  • Support consistency in HR practices across offices and regions while remaining responsive to local operational needs.

  • Lead or support special HR projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.

  • At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

  • Prior HR leadership or HR business partner experience supporting multiple locations, regional operations, or a growing organization strongly preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter capable of learning new technology and systems independently.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and its employees.

  • Experience supporting or improving onboarding/new hire processes and cross-functional HR workflows.

  • Experience in construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or project-based environments preferred.
