Responsibilities
Oversee the collection and submission of weekly payroll details to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
Address employee inquiries related to compensation, pay statements, and routine payroll concerns in a timely manner.
Apply and monitor human resources practices that align with New York labor regulations, including requirements affecting seasonal and farm-based workforces.
Develop, document, and refine HR procedures to create consistency and improve operational effectiveness.
Organize and manage core employee lifecycle activities such as applications, onboarding, separations, and rehire preparation.
Collaborate with leaders across different sites to provide practical HR support and ensure consistent administration.
Identify manual tasks that can be improved through streamlined workflows, automation, or better use of HR systems.
Provide daily HR administrative support, including assistance with employee relations, benefits coordination, and HRIS updates.
Manage end-to-end recruiting efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and candidate communication.
Prepare and distribute offer letters based on approved compensation packages.
Coverage of background checks, drug screenings, and physical exams for pre-employment requirements.
Oversee orientation and safety training to ensure seamless onboarding.
Maintain accurate onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with established policies.
Assist in the administration of employee records and support HR policy implementation.
Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and procedures.
Support Workers’ Compensation administration and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with multiple operational departments to address HR needs and provide guidance.
Utilize office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word, for efficient HR documentation and reporting.
