HR Director

This contract position is based in Tenafly, New Jersey, and offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational growth by ensuring HR policies and practices align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee employee relations, ensuring a positive work environment and addressing concerns effectively.
• Manage benefits programs, including health, retirement, and other employee offerings, to ensure compliance and employee satisfaction.
• Administer compensation structures and ensure alignment with market standards and internal equity.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
• Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Oversee HR administrative functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with expertise in employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
• Proficiency in managing compensation and benefits programs, including compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.
• Experience in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SPHR) preferred.
