Job Summary
Meneses Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Director to lead our Human Resources department. The HR Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall objectives. They will oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR administration.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and morale.
- Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Develop and implement performance management systems to drive employee performance and development.
- Oversee the design and administration of employee compensation and benefit programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to HR staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with organizational information.
- Promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse staff members.
- Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulations.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Advanced with technology and ability to learn about our software systems including applicant-tracking software.
- Excellent understanding of HR operations (recruiting, onboarding, training, and compensation).
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Understanding and adherence to KPIs and metrics.
- Able to type 45 WPM or more.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; a Master's degree or PHR/SHRM certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
- 8+ years managing all functions of HR.
Physical Demands
- This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
- Occasionally involves stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
- Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- The ability to move and lift items up to 10 pounds.
