HR Director
The Warewash Division of the Food Equipment Group produces Hobart, Stero, and Somat branded commercial dishwashers and waste equipment for hotels, casinos, restaurants, healthcare, cruise ships, schools, universities, and retail. The division drives growth through sales strategies, new product development, customer-facing approaches, and innovative technologies. Division goals include attracting and retaining top talent and developing future enterprise leaders.
About the role
This position leads the HR function for the North American Warewash business, reporting to the Vice President/General Manager. The Division Human Resource Director is a key member of the division leadership team, responsible for HR strategy development and execution, leading multiple HR projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role includes managing one direct and eight indirect reports.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of strategies and initiatives to attract and retain talent
- Lead grievance meetings and respond to grievances
- Lead and negotiate the labor contract for one of the Warewash plant facilities
- Support negotiations for the Canadian operation’s labor contract
- Lead talent review and succession planning processes
- Continuously improve onboarding and training programs
- Coach and provide consultation to managers and employees
- Provide guidance to Plant HR managers on terminations, disciplinary actions, employee concerns, and legal matters
- Oversee the annual division Affirmative Action Plan (AAP)
- Lead divisional workforce planning actions
- Serve as a trusted partner to the senior leadership team, offering sound advice
- Ensure legal compliance with federal and state laws

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Labor Relations
- 10+ years of HR experience
- Experience working with labor unions, including administering and negotiating collective bargaining agreements
- Experience defining and administering HR policies
