This HR Business Partner role will act as the liaison between IC and BJC Health, offering our organization the human resource expertise in various areas of Human Resources.

About BJC Behavioral Health
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.
Role Purpose
Responsible for providing proactive HR consultation directly connected to the immediate and long term business needs of the hospital. Serves as a hands-on, progressive HR generalist who develops a thorough understanding of business challenges and related human capital needs of all assigned departments and functions and ensures alignment of the strategies and programs to the broader organizational goals. Partners with management and employees to provide service and support in a variety of HR functions, with an emphasis in performance management, employee relations, management training and organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, rewards and recognition.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes strong interpersonal skills and abilities to effectively interact with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.
- Monitors and analyzes various human resource metrics and provides proactive consultation to address potential business issues.
- Strategically partners with senior leadership to manage complex business issues including legal/employee relations, regulatory compliance, compensation/benefits, organizational development/effectiveness matters, and talent acquisition.
- Effectively serves as a change leader or champion.
- Manages large projects impacting the enterprise/multiple business units.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 5-10 years
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree
- Supervisor Experience: Less than 2 years
- Licenses & Certifications: PHR
