HR Business Partner - Global E-Commerce Logistics - Seattle
About the Team
We are on a mission to reshape the E-commerce landscape and here's a unique opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to support our business teams do just that. You will be responsible for performance reviews, learning and development, and employee retention while also improving existing processes and procedures while collaborating with key stakeholders across the business. This role will actively participate in translating business plans into talent, engagement, and organization plans.
Responsibilities
- Serve as HRBP for US logistics operations covering both Fulfillment Centers and Sortation Centers. End-to-end ownership of 0-to-1 organization buildout for self-operated facilities.
- Provide organization design advisory based on industry best practices. Includes headcount planning, org structure, and selection/implementation of labor models (business process outsourcing, staffing agency, direct hire labor).
- Build and optimize people management systems for logistics operations. Covers attendance tracking, labor payroll, performance management, and frontline benefits including night shift, overtime, and workplace safety programs.
- Align with HR OPR, Mobility, ER and Management Research Institute teams on new site establishment, compliance processes and system integration.
- Establish working relationships with warehouse General Managers, 3PL providers and staffing agency partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of HRBP experience, with prior industry experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or E-Commerce fulfillment.
- Deep understanding of Fulfillment Centre or Sortation Center operating models, labor structures and frontline workforce management.
- Proven track record of organization design, labor model selection, performance and compensation system build in logistics environment.
- Knowledge of US labor law, staffing agency ecosystem, workers' compensation and logistics compliance practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regional/global/cross cultural project management.
- Interpersonal communication skills and experience building relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Able to work successfully with ambiguity in a complex, fast paced and challenging business environment.
Pay
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115,520 - $209,380 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
