Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Execute full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions (e.g., welders, fabricators, machine operators, supervisors)
- Source candidates using job boards, approved staffing agencies, referrals, and community partnerships
- Create and update job descriptions and ensure compensation aligns with internal equity and current market data
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate onsite interviews with hiring managers
- Manage high-volume hiring pipelines while maintaining candidate quality standards
- Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensure accurate candidate documentation
- Coordinate and attend hiring events, job fairs, and workforce development initiatives
- Establish and maintain world-class levels of service for hiring teams
- Ensure all hiring practices comply with EEOC and federal/state employment laws
Onboarding & New Hire Coordination
- Coordinate new hire orientation logistics and documentation
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding packets, and pre-employment requirements
- Facilitate background checks, drug screenings, and employment verification
- Ensure timely system entry (HRIS/payroll) and badge/access setup
- Partner with supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding and training alignment
HR Administrative Support
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with documentation standards
- Aid with benefits enrollment, employee inquiries, and HR communications
- Support payroll processing by verifying new hire and status change information
- Track attendance, turnover metrics, and recruitment KPIs
- Aid in audits, compliance reporting, and internal investigations as needed
Employee Relations Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate
- Support disciplinary documentation and performance management processes
