Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
  • Maintain and monitor personnel files and recordkeeping systems, including I-9s, pre-employment paperwork, E-verify, drug screens, and onboarding documentation.
  • Support regional growth by performing administrative functions in human resources, including maintaining documentation for staffing, recruiting, training, grievances, performance evaluations, compensation, and state/federal compliance.
  • Assist with non-exempt branch recruitment by screening and coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Assist branches with all areas of human resource functions.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding policy, payroll, and benefits issues, following up to resolve specific problems and inquiries.
  • Assist with external and internal audits on HR/payroll data to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform research into HR best practices as assigned.
  • Assist with unemployment cases, workers compensation reporting, and case management.
  • Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Minimum 2-year degree with 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably within a human resources environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with recruitment practices.
  • Knowledge of EEO and ADA regulations, payroll, and general HR policies and practices.
  • Demonstrated organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and deal with pressure consistently.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and tact.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
