Responsibilities
- Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
- Maintain and monitor personnel files and recordkeeping systems, including I-9s, pre-employment paperwork, E-verify, drug screens, and onboarding documentation.
- Support regional growth by performing administrative functions in human resources, including maintaining documentation for staffing, recruiting, training, grievances, performance evaluations, compensation, and state/federal compliance.
- Assist with non-exempt branch recruitment by screening and coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, and coordinating onboarding.
- Assist branches with all areas of human resource functions.
- Respond to employee questions regarding policy, payroll, and benefits issues, following up to resolve specific problems and inquiries.
- Assist with external and internal audits on HR/payroll data to ensure data integrity.
- Perform research into HR best practices as assigned.
- Assist with unemployment cases, workers compensation reporting, and case management.
- Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Minimum 2-year degree with 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably within a human resources environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with recruitment practices.
- Knowledge of EEO and ADA regulations, payroll, and general HR policies and practices.
- Demonstrated organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and deal with pressure consistently.
- Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and tact.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
