HQF - Ensign College - International Student Part-time Custodian Positions

About the role

This is a part-time position (20 hours a week) for international students attending Ensign College. The role does not include medical benefits.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, Swing Shift: 9:00 pm - 1:00 am

Pay

• $18.00/hour + $1.50/hour differential

Location

Responsibilities

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
• Spot clean carpets, rugs, and upholstery
• Restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials
• Attend meetings and trainings crafted to increase your knowledge and abilities
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment (training provided)
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs

Requirements

• Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
• Capability to complete vital tasks and handle basic issues professionally
• Ability to work alone without constant supervision and strengthen teams
• Willingness to work with cleaning solvents and chemicals, adhering to all safety regulations
• Ability to work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English for training, security, and safety purposes

Previous experience or knowledge of custodial practices is welcomed but not required.
