Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do on a standard day of work:

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
• Spot clean carpets, rugs and upholstery, restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials
• Attend meetings and trainings crafted to increase your knowledge and abilities
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment (training provided)
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs

Requirements

• Independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds
• Stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
• Complete vital tasks and handle basic issues professionally
• Work alone without constant supervision but also strengthen your team
• Handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals safely, following all regulations
• Work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas
• Read, comprehend, and communicate in English for video training, building security, and safety purposes

Previous experience or knowledge of custodial practices is welcomed but not required.

Schedule

Two shifts available:

• Monday–Friday, 9:00pm–1:00am at Triad Center (KSL Building, Ensign College and BYU-SL Center) and Conference Center Building
• Monday–Friday, 9:30pm–1:30am at Church Office Building and Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Must be willing to work rotating weekends (every 7th Saturday) and events/holidays as scheduled. This is a part-time position without medical benefits.

Pay

$18.00/hour + $1.50 grave shift differential

Qualifications

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
