Housing Technician
About the role
The Housing Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the living conditions of residential properties. This includes performing repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and addressing tenant concerns.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency repairs on residential properties
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with tenants and property management staff
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- At least 2 years of related experience in home maintenance or construction
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and first aid
