What you’ll do:
- Process applications and check eligibility for housing programs.
- Help with re-certifications, rent adjustments, moves, and more.
- Keep participant files organized and assist the public with questions.
- Learn the ins and outs of federal housing programs (HUD rules included!).
- Cook up with teammates, supervisors, and other departments to keep things running smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must obtain Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist certification within one year of hire.
- Two years of experience in public-facing or customer service roles. Accounting, mortgage processing, or direct customer service experience is a plus. Experience beyond the minimum may substitute for part of the educational requirement.
- Knowledge of HCV program requirements, policies, or procedures is preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and math skills.
