Housing Specialist
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology.
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
- Valid LA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
- Minimum 1 year experience as Housing Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Housing services for all individuals served by the F/ACT team.
- Aid individuals in securing safe and affordable housing and related necessities.
- Develop relationships with landlords and ensure individuals have adequate financial support.
- Teach and promote money management skills and assist individuals in performing household activities.
- Inform and support individual's families and advocate for their rights and preferences.
- Attend housing-related meetings in the community and act as a liaison with stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
