Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
  • Valid LA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Housing Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Housing services for all individuals served by the F/ACT team.
  • Aid individuals in securing safe and affordable housing and related necessities.
  • Develop relationships with landlords and ensure individuals have adequate financial support.
  • Teach and promote money management skills and assist individuals in performing household activities.
  • Inform and support individual's families and advocate for their rights and preferences.
  • Attend housing-related meetings in the community and act as a liaison with stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
  • Valid LA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Housing Specialist.
