About the role
The Salvation Midtown Services & Treatment Center is seeking a Housing Outreach Liaison to support the Substance Abuse Program, which includes Detox, Residential, and Outpatient Treatment Programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client evaluation interviews, assess treatment needs, and develop treatment plans.
- Screen and intake clients upon admission.
- Perform routine search and seizure procedures.
- Orient clients to the program.
- Conduct financial screenings and refer clients to appropriate services.
- Counsel detox clients about treatment options and refer to MAT if necessary.
- Lead and participate in group counseling activities for Residential, Outpatient, and Family Support programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Three years of relevant case management experience in housing.
- Outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team setting.
- Leadership skills and good organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of The Salvation Army and community resources.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in using computers for documentation.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Valid drivers' license and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Qualifications
Must be a team player, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and perform well under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate independent thinking and sound judgment. Requires confidentiality and a high level of physical capability, including the ability to perform outreach services to client homes.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, and knowledge of substance abuse treatment programs are essential.
