Housewares and Wine Sales Manager

About the role

We're hiring a Housewares and Wine Sales Manager to lead a team in a fun, engaging retail environment. Our store specializes in wine, coffee, chocolate, gourmet olive oil, and high-quality kitchenware and gadgets. This is a salaried, full-time management position with opportunities for advancement in a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects while considering team members' skills and abilities
• Motivate and lead a team with a servant-leadership approach
• Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet performance expectations
• Communicate effectively through store meetings, floor coordination, and newsletters
• Create, plan, and execute product trainings, events, and sales contests
• Supervise, schedule, and inspire a team to achieve sales goals
• Maintain strong customer service standards and share product knowledge passionately

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of retail sales or hospitality management experience
• Minimum 3 years of team building and training experience
• Proven ability to recruit, supervise, and develop a team
• Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
• Capability to safely lift loads in excess of 35 pounds
• Strong computer and mathematical skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Passion for food, cooking, wine, and sharing product knowledge

Pay

Salaried full-time position with a range of $65,000 to $70,000 annually.
