About the role
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring clean rooms, under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Service guest rooms using cleaning agents and equipment to ensure adherence to department policies
- Remove inventories and replace soiled linens and prepare rooms for guest arrivals
- Organize and/or replenish guest room amenities
- Maintain a clean and orderly cart with adequate supplies
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within areas of responsibility
- Promote positive guest relations at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous hotel cleaning experience is preferred
- Basic computer experience is preferred
- Must possess basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Must be attentive to detail
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Work environment
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the Hotel Rooms. There may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Required to push cleaning cart and operate vacuums. Must be able to lift approximately 20-25lbs of furniture, equipment, trash, and linens.
