Houseperson - Housekeeping

About the role

The Housekeeping House-person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This position is in-charge of stocking and inventory of housekeeping supplies. Housekeeping duties would also include deep cleaning of guest rooms and assisting room attendants with linen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel rooms and common areas
• Stock and inventory of housekeeping supplies
• Deep cleaning of guest rooms
• Assist room attendants with linen
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Work various shifts, especially weekends and holidays (mornings, afternoons, and evenings)

Requirements

• Good communication and organization skills
• Able to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight
• Professional work demeanor
• Physical fitness to perform all duties as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, squat, lean, and rotate body
• Genuine service to all guests
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Previous housekeeping experience in office, resorts, cruise ships, or hotels (an asset)
• Previous experience with HotSOS/Rex (preferred)

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work various shifts, especially weekends and holidays (mornings, afternoons, and evenings)
• Able to work independently with minimum or no supervision
• An excellent team player with a positive and helpful attitude
