About the role
The Houseperson - Events is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, etc. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to lift moderate weight. It is a fast-paced role.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down meeting spaces with tables, chairs, and water
- Ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning
- Communicate effectively with event coordinators and other staff members
- Lift and move heavy items as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow established procedures
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull a heavy amount of weight
- Fulfill a flexible schedule and shift pattern based upon hotel business needs, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays
