Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the commercial and common areas of the hotel, such as the lobby, lobby restrooms, banquet rooms, game room, elevators, hallways, entries, crossovers, stairwells, bar, cart rooms, guest and laundry area.
  • Roll up sleeves and assist teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy.
  • Provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.
  • Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs.
  • Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.
  • Meet/exceed company goals and three metrics.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests.
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.
  • Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
  • Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash, and emptying ashtrays.
  • Follow a daily schedule of cleaning all areas.
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms when requested.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed.

Requirements

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues.
  • Responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
  • Able to report to scheduled shifts.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Organized, honest, and works well with others.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Highest degree of integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule.
  • Values of dedication, innovation, showing respect, being driven by excellence, being community-focused, and having a spirit of service.
  • Able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to work for 8 hours in a restrictive space/environment.
  • Eyesight enabling vision both near and far.
  • Comfortable using a step stool or ladder.
  • Able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
  • Able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and stress.
  • Finger dexterity for operating equipment.
  • Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English.
  • Able to write.
