Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain commercial and common areas of the hotel, including lobby, lobby restrooms, banquet rooms, game room, elevators, hallways, entries, crossovers, stairwells, bar, cart rooms, guest and laundry areas
• Assist teams as needed to support the “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy
• Provide innovative ways that align with the mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America
• Promote and engage in internal growth programs
• Exemplify and live by the company culture
• Meet/exceed company goals and three metrics
• Complete all required training
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to guests
• Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
• Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
• Perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
• Follow a daily schedule of cleaning all areas
• Greet guests in a friendly manner
• Deliver items to guest rooms when requested
• Report maintenance deficiencies
• Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed
• Assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed

Necessary Skills

• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
• Responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
• Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
• Ability to report to scheduled shifts
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; 24/7 business may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
• Organized, honest, and works well with others
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work for 8 hours in a restrictive space/environment

• Comfortable using a step stool or ladder
• Ability to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
• Ability to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold and stress
• Finger dexterity for operating equipment
• Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
