Houseperson

Shift times: 8am to 4:30pm weekdays, 9am to 5:30pm weekends (required to work weekends). Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. Must have open availability.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Move and arrange furniture as necessary including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.
• Collect and launder soiled linens and store linen supplies in linen closet.
• Clean and stock restrooms with supplies.
• Refurnish rooms with supplies, towels, etc. as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations when using chemicals and equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, vacuums, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork; wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order.
• Coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests.
• Report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.
• Be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when it’s needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months' housekeeping experience in full-service hotels.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations when using chemicals.
