About the role

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses, soiled linens, and garbage.
• Deliver linen and necessary supplies to room attendants.
• Shampoo carpets, strip, and wax floors throughout the hotel.
• Clean designated areas, including the lobby, public restrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Collect trash throughout the hotel, including from room attendants' carts, vending areas, room service, offices, and restrooms.
• Respond to guest requests, such as delivering housekeeping supplies (e.g., linens, infant cribs) in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met; report any problem areas to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to perform significant amounts of walking, bending, kneeling, and standing.
• Capable of lifting and pushing/pulling approximately 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Continuous standing throughout the day.
