About the role

Our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations to a continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. You will maintain cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support, build solid relationships with patients and their families, and deliver superior customer service to ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

Schedule

This is a part-time position working days from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, including every Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

  • Capable of using equipment and tools necessary for performance of duty
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Must be able to work with patient and bodily fluids/excrement/odors
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP (on-site presence required)
  • Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-6 months of hospital housekeeping experience
  • Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First
  • Experience in the hotel, restaurant, or retail industry

Pay

Salary range: $24.60–$26.46 per hour.
