Housekeeping Worker

The Housekeeping Worker at Monmouth Medical Center is responsible for cleaning patient rooms, baths, laboratories, and various other areas within the facility. Duties include bathroom cleaning, room cleaning, floor dusting, and carpet cleaning. Key responsibilities also involve reporting safety issues and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read and understand minimal English due to patient contact and chemical exposure
• Housekeeping experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements

• Overnights: 11:00pm-7:30am
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Full-time

Essential Functions

• Bathroom cleaning: showers, sinks, spills, toilets, and floors
• Cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
• Demonstrate clear customer focus and provide enhanced service to both internal and external customers
• Distribute laundered articles and linens, empty and clean wastebaskets, and replace with fresh liners
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
• Replace soiled drapes and cubicle curtains
• Follow safe work practices and vacuum carpets and dust floors
• Wash beds and mattresses, remake beds after dismissal or patients
