Housekeeping Utility Associate - Environmental Services (Evenings) (PRN)

Definitions

• To perform daily assigned tasks, that could include collecting trash, linen and bio-hazardous waste throughout the hospital, vacuuming all carpeted corridors, cleaning entrances, project work that is assigned, dust mopping hallways, and mopping hard floor corridors.
• May be asked to perform EVS Patient Associate duties.
• Always be aware of surroundings, stop and ask if visitors appear lost or confused. Escort visitors to area they are going.

Requirements

• Education Required Knowledge & Skills: Ability to read and write
• Experience: No prior work experience required
• Qualifications: Must be able to read and write to be able to follow directives; grammar school or above.
• Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned.
• Previous experience in a medical facility is desirable, but not required.
• One week to three months on-the-job training.
• Able to lift weights of 50 pounds.
