What You Will Be Doing
- Supports the hiring, training, and re-training of employee process.
- Train the new team members according to the Training Program.
- Communicate with the Training Executive or the Building Executive if you present any challenges on your assignment or building.
- Monitor the performance of the new hires.
- Reinforce the training and provide honest and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Executive Training Manager to create projects and training initiatives.
- Provide feedback and coaching the staff members on cleaning, AAA, Forbes and Hotel Standards, safety protocols and housekeeping Policies and Procedures.
- Execute inspections of the staff members to ensure they are performing according to the standards.
- During inspections, identify areas of improvement opportunities that can be reviewed during pre-shifts also sharing with the Training Executive.
- Rewarding and recognizing employees for their exceptional performance and by participating in various reward and recognition programs of the Department and Hotel.
- Participate in the employee progressive disciplinary process, including the coaching, counseling, and administration of employee discipline.
- Keep track of the special maintenance issues that you or your team reported and follow up, maintain open communication with your manager.
- Actively participates in timely administration of 90-day and annual performance process.
- Maintains a complete understanding of the Hotel’s Safety and Security guidelines, SDS compliance and actively participates in fire / safety drills and the Bee Safe Committee.
- Attends regularly scheduled supervisor meetings and applicable leadership training classes to include preparing and delivering group presentations.
- Expertly communicates pertinent information including Department/Hotel updates.
- Helps with the planning and implementation of new or revised policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes.
- Assists in linen and supply inventories and completes all related paperwork.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; prior Housekeeping supervisory and hospitality experience preferred.
- An enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
