About the role
Supervises and supports the housekeeping team at Trappeur's Crossing, ensuring vacation homes and condominiums are clean, well-maintained, and meet high-quality hospitality standards. Oversees daily schedules, staff, supplies, and guest and owner needs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor housekeepers cleaning private condominiums and homes
- Plan, assign, and adjust daily workloads and schedules to ensure timely completion
- Assist with cleaning, towel changes, and other housekeeping duties as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality meets established standards
- Train, coach, and provide feedback to housekeeping staff
- Respond professionally to guest and owner requests and concerns
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, equipment, and inventory
- Deliver supplies and transport housekeeping teams to and from properties
- Maintain secure key control and protect guest and owner property
- Conduct deep cleans, unit inventories, and maintenance needs assessments
- Perform and oversee common-area cleaning as needed
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and in proper working order
- Communicate with Housekeeping Management regarding daily operations, staffing, and issues
- Drive safely and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operating procedures, and safety standards
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand basic written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff, guests, and owners in English
- Ability to use sound judgment and solve routine problems
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record meeting company insurance requirements
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle and transport staff and supplies between properties
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbal/non-verbal, and written
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
Pay
Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Physical Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Regularly lift and move up to 35 lbs
- Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle cleaning supplies, equipment, linens, and other materials
- Perform detailed cleaning requiring close vision
- Work in wet or humid conditions and around cleaning chemicals and fumes
- Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to communicate clearly with staff in English
