About the role
The Hotel Zamora, a boutique hotel in St. Pete Beach, FL, seeks an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping department. The position is under new ownership by Sherman Associates, a real estate development and management company known for its commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, manage, and monitor performance of the housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure cleanliness and maintenance
- Monitor and replenish commercial laundry supplies and equipment
- Train and support housekeeping department employees
- Schedule and assign room cleaning duties
- Complete inventory and maintain linen and supply par levels
- Perform all housekeeping duties as needed
- Work collaboratively with the Housekeeping Manager to complete departmental tasks
- Supervise, coach, direct, train, and evaluate staff members
- Prepare and conduct employee reviews and approve timecards
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience with at least 6 months in supervisory or managerial roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication and reading/writing skills
- Ability to work in a multi-lingual environment
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
- Passion for the hotel's mission, vision, and values
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs., kneel, squat, grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, climb, listen, hear, and use manual dexterity
- Work environment: exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibrations, loud noise, biological substances, and construction sites
- Physical demands: ability to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments, lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull carts up to 200 lbs., kneel, squat, grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, climb, listen, hear, and use manual dexterity
