Responsibilities
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in guest rooms, linens, uniforms, lost and found, laundry, and public spaces.
- Train and supervise new employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Inspect work for compliance with standards and document as required.
- Aid the Executive Housekeeper with department morale and biannual QA Audit.
- Cook up with outside vendors for pest control, laundry, and other services.
- Plan daily employee work sheets and assist with cleaning duties as needed.
- Resolve complaints about service and equipment promptly.
- Ensure efficient communication with other departments for timely service delivery.
- Check and maintain equipment.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend personnel actions.
- Monitor daily workload and staffing levels within budget.
- Advise desk clerks of rooms ready for occupancy.
- Aid with administrative functions.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of English.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Customer service skills.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory housekeeping experience and 2 years of line-level experience.
Additional Requirements
- Physically capable of performing housekeeping tasks.
- Lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required.
- May be exposed to humid conditions, contaminants, disease, infections, and chemicals.
