Job Summary

Position provides the day to day supervision of the Environmental Services department staff. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Job Description

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
• Delegate and check daily assignments.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks and projects within the department.
• Schedule appropriate coverage when necessary.
• Create and supervise work schedules, vacation schedules, time off and overtime, training qualifications and meetings.
• Hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct associates, or address an associate’s concerns/complaints.
• Communicate with customers, patients and staff as needed to facilitate good customer satisfaction.
• Under the direction of the Manager, provide input on how to perform task and how to achieve the goals.
• Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) studies; data collection and support action plans.
