Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

As a key member of our Housekeeping team at Accor, you will oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of public areas, ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards. You will train and guide staff, manage cleaning plans, and coordinate with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the daily cleaning plan is executed according to standards, including vacuuming, washing, polishing, and furniture care.
• Train public area personnel on equipment and device maintenance.
• Prepare and implement a cleaning plan for all public areas.
• Monitor and report maintenance and repair needs in assigned sections.
• Oversee proper storage and execution of cleaning tasks.
• Ensure safe and economical use of chemicals, prioritizing human health and safety.
• Track daily breakdowns and maintenance jobs, reporting to relevant departments.
• Verify that public toilet maintenance and cleaning meet standards.
• Hand over lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office immediately.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions in coordination with the Housekeeper.
• Familiarize yourself and instruct colleagues on fire and safety rules.
• Ensure smooth coordination between shifts.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Department to organize banquets systematically.
• Actively participate in day-to-day operations.
• Maintain clean and hygienic uniforms and appearance for yourself and your team.
• Attend departmental meetings, trainings, and General Manager’s meetings as scheduled.
• Serve as part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Uphold responsibilities related to quality management systems in the facility.
• Perform additional duties assigned by managers or hotel leadership.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in at least one foreign language for guest communication and technical understanding of equipment.
• Completion of relevant courses or seminars in the field.
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications and Housekeeping (HK) software.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques, and work processes.
• Experience with diverse guest profiles and the ability to guide less experienced colleagues in guest interactions.
