Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out.
  • Deliver linens to the laundry department.
  • Inspect rooms and public spaces daily to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards.
  • Train new housekeeping staff to ensure they know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards.
  • Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs.
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace on housekeeping cart when needed.
  • Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances.
  • Communicate with maintenance team regarding any maintenance requests reported by housekeeping team members.
  • Communicate with front desk team regarding rooms that are ready for new arrivals to check-in.

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Able to handle problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
