About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Great Wolf Lodge is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, quality, and timeliness of guest experiences. They lead and mentor staff, manage schedules, and oversee the cleaning of guest rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors housekeeping staff to meet or exceed cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensures timely turnover of all vacant and clean rooms; verifies stayovers, reports early checkouts, and communicates issues and discrepancies with front office.
  • Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to staff members.
  • Understands and champions Great Wolf policies and procedures, collaborating with leadership in performance management.
  • Schedules staff, manages labor, and forecasts needs.
  • Develops and executes training programs for new hires and ongoing training for staff.
  • Creates and schedules daily assignments and projects, optimizing staff for lodge cleanliness and performance.
  • Conducts daily stand-up meetings with room attendants and house attendants, prioritizing the day and facilitating feedback.
  • Escalates pack feedback to leadership.
  • Inspects guest rooms for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; reviews results with room attendants; coaches and drives performance improvement.
  • Ensures linen storage rooms, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts are clean, organized, and properly inventoried for the next day's activities; promotes safety standards.
  • Supervises staff and areas to ensure compliance with resort standards, managing time and attendance.
  • Participates in recruitment and selection processes for the housekeeping department.
  • Assists with regular team meetings and engagement activities for pack members.
  • Schedules deep cleans and carpet care based on a bi-yearly schedule and guest comments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Rooms Division supervisor or similar supervisor position
  • Prior hospitality or housekeeping experience or equivalent formal education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and general software systems; proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with HotSos or similar system
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish
  • Time management skills in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications & Traits

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in large family resort or hotel
  • Experience with Opera or similar system
  • Time management skills in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Capable of tolerating exposure to chemicals
