Housekeeping Supervisor

Supervise the housekeeping staff

Provide open communication, training, coaching and counseling. Provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.

Supervise and inspect the cleaning

• Cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house.
• Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations.
• Achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Issue assignments and supplies

• Review special requests and areas of concentration.
• Ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at the beginning of the shift.
• Control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available.
• Control expenses.

Respond to guest requests

• Handle guest requests, concerns and problems.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.

Implement emergency training and procedures

• Ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Minimum of one year hotel housekeeping supervisory/inspector experience.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
